GENIE-2000 InSpector Basic Spectroscopy is a nuclear spectroscopy software package designed for acquiring and analyzing gamma and X-ray spectra with InSpector-series multichannel analyzers. It provides instrument control and live spectrum display, along with core analysis tools such as energy and efficiency calibration, peak search and fitting, region-of-interest (ROI) analysis, nuclide identification using libraries, decay correction, and minimum detectable activity (MDA) estimates. The Basic edition focuses on essential data acquisition and spectral analysis features, making it suitable for routine measurements in health physics, environmental monitoring, education, and general laboratory use. It supports common detector types (for example, HPGe and scintillation detectors), offers straightforward reporting and data export, and can be extended with optional modules in more advanced configurations.
